FootballSportsGolden Eaglets suffer 2nd loss in China tournament Last updated: 9 July 2026 7:00 am By Breezynews Share 2 Min Read SHARE Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets suffered their second consecutive defeat at the four-nation invitational tournament in China after losing 4-2 to Australia in an entertaining encounter early on Wednesday.The defeat leaves the five-time FIFA U-17 World Cup champions at the bottom of the standings, having conceded seven goals and scored four in their opening two matches of the competition.Under coach Eboboritse Uwejamomere, the team is currently undergoing a rebuilding process after missing out on the last two editions of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations and the FIFA U-17 World Cup.The Golden Eaglets began their campaign with a narrow 3-2 loss to Tanzania and were hoping to recover against Australia.
