Former Big Brother Naija winner Mercy Eke has said she regrets participating in the reality television show, despite the opportunities and success it brought her.
The reality star made the disclosure while reflecting on her search for love and the challenges she has faced in finding a life partner since rising to fame.
Speaking during an emotional interview with media personality Toke Makinwa, Eke said her celebrity status had complicated her personal relationships, adding that financial imbalance had been a recurring issue despite her desire to settle down and build a stable family.
Although she acknowledged the benefits of appearing on the show, Eke admitted that fame had come at a personal cost.
“I regret going to Big Brother even though I love the benefits that come from it. I dey fall in love like mumu. Now I tell myself that I want to marry, I want to marry, but it’s not easy,” she said.
She also revealed that she had financially supported some of the men she dated because of their circumstances.
“I have dated guys that I have given a lot of money to not one, not two because they didn’t have,” she added.
