The Federal Ministry of Education has announced Miss Adeola Adefemi, an English teacher with the Oke-Odo Senior High School, Alimosho in Lagos State, as the Best Teacher in Nigeria.

At a national event held recently in Abuja to commemorate the annual World Teachers’ Day, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presented the Award to Adefemi, saying that the event was designed to appreciate outstanding teachers for their immeasurable contributions to the growth and development of society.

Adefemi, who was rewarded with a brand-new car by the Federal Government, has an uncommon passion for promoting qualitative education. She is also regarded as a highly innovative teacher who trains children in and out of school, especially the underprivileged in her community.
