NOC hails Super Eagles, urges team to strategise winning top prize

The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) has congratulated the Super Eagles for what it described as their “outstanding performance in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament”.

On behalf of , the president of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), the Committee would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their outstanding performance in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

According to a statement on Tuesday by its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Tony Nezianya, NOC’s President, Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel said that “qualifying for the last 16 is a remarkable achievement, and we are immensely proud of the team’s determination and hard work”.

The statement, through which the NOC acknowledged the “extraordinary support and passion of our dedicated fans at home”, further read: “Your (the fans) unwavering belief in the team has undoubtedly spurred them on to greater heights. We encourage you all to continue rallying behind the Super Eagles as they strive to bring glory to our nation.

“As we progress through the tournament, it is crucial for the Super Eagles to remain focused and determined. The road to the top is never easy, and the challenges will only become tougher from this point forward.

“However, we have full confidence in the abilities of our players and coaching staff. With unity and perseverance, we believe they can go all the way and secure their fourth consecutive AFCON title.

“Once again, congratulations to the Super Eagles for reaching the last 16. Let us continue to show our unwavering support and belief in the team.

“Bring home the trophy, and make Nigeria proud”!
