United States President Donald Trump has declared two new national holidays in the country.

Trump took to his Truth Social media account on Monday night to announce his plans to celebrate the end of World War I and World War II in the United States.

The 78-year-old noted that the two national holidays are 11 November and 8 May.

The Republican, however, warned Americans not to expect more time away from the office.

‘We won two World Wars, but we never took credit for it — Everyone else does! All over the World, the Allies are celebrating the Victory we had in World War II’, Trump wrote.

According to Trump, the only country that doesn’t celebrate the World War I and World War II is the US.

‘Therefore, I am hereby declaring a National Holiday in celebration of the Victories of World War I, where the Armistice was signed on 11 November, 1918, and World War II, where the Victory date was 8 May, 1945’, Trump added.

‘We will not be closing the Country for these two very important Holidays, 11 November and 8 May’.
