Wike made the declaration during an engagement with leaders and members of the Apo Mechanics and Traders Association in Abuja.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, the minister said his continued service in the cabinet would be tied to his ability to deliver electoral support for Tinubu in the two areas.
Wike said he would submit his resignation the day after the presidential election if the ruling party failed to secure victory in the FCT and Rivers State.
“If I cannot deliver where I work, then I’m not worthy to be here,” he said.
The minister also disclosed plans to build a multi-party coalition in the FCT ahead of the election, saying the arrangement was aimed at securing victory for candidates supported by the administration across various elective positions.
He endorsed Tinubu for a second term and named candidates backed by his political camp for legislative positions.
“Let us be clear on direction: for the Presidency, it is Bola Ahmed Tinubu! For the Senate, Philip Aduda is a man of the people, unlike those who only appear on television. The two House of Representatives candidates we are supporting are also here. They are former Area Council chairmen.
“In the FCT, we are running a unified coalition across parties to deliver results.
“If I cannot deliver FCT as Minister, then I am not qualified to hold this office. We have a firm agreement, and today is the final affirmation,” Wike said.
The 2027 presidential election is scheduled for 16 January 2027, according to the details provided by the minister.
