In commemoration of this year’s World Book Day, the Enugu State chapter of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) will host a book party on 23 April at the state Library Board in Enugu.
Poet, writer and journalist, James Eze will be a major highlight as he presents his book, Unbind Me Now to the choice audience.
A writer and former President of the Enugu State Customary Court of Appeal, Justice George Nnamani will be the chairman of the day, while the state Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ndubueze Mbah will be the Special Guest.
Also in attendance will be the state chairperson of ANA, Dr. Adaobi Nwoye; and the Executive Secretary of the state Library Board, Mrs. Sylvia Onwubuemeli.
Honoured last February as “the People’s Poet” by Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam, Anambra State, Eze, a renowned poet and PR specialist, won the 2020 ANA Poetry Prize with his debut collection, dispossessed, which was long-listed for the Nigeria Prize for Literature in 2022.
He is the founder of Udala Tree Consults, and has curated major literary events, including the Return to Idoto poetry festival.
