The City Boy Movement has dismissed its Oyo State Coordinator, Ahmed Ajibola, over allegations that he made derogatory remarks about President Bola Tinubu, the movement’s patron, Seyi Tinubu, and members of its national leadership.
The decision was announced in a statement issued on Thursday by the Director-General of the movement, Francis Shoga.
According to the statement, Ajibola’s removal followed disciplinary proceedings that began in June after a petition was submitted accusing him of misconduct.
Shoga said a formal notice dated 2 June 2026 was served on Ajibola, outlining allegations that he made abusive and insulting comments against the movement’s leadership, including the Director-General.
The statement further alleged that the former state coordinator directed offensive remarks at Seyi Tinubu and President Tinubu, while also displaying acts of insubordination and disrespect towards the movement’s constituted authority.
In addition, Ajibola was accused of challenging another leader of the organisation in Oyo State to a physical confrontation and engaging in conduct considered capable of damaging the movement’s reputation.
According to the statement, he was given 48 hours to submit a written response to the allegations and was informed that failure to provide a satisfactory explanation could result in disciplinary action.
The movement said the disciplinary process has now concluded with Ajibola’s dismissal as the Oyo State Coordinator.
